The Blade: Full tang construction of Uddeholm’s super edge-retaining Vanadis 4 Extra SuperClean steel proven to be one of the highest performing powder metallurgical cold work tool steels on the market today. It’s ideal for high impact as it has a unique combination of wear and chipping resistance. Slightly over three inches in cutting edge here with a strong sabre grind. Razor sharp right out of the box with a thick, Black DLC coating that’ll protect the steel from corrosion. Modified spear point profile is handy for slicing and piercing. Jimping on the thumb rest and forward choil add a nice grip.

The Handle: Block or diamond textured Carbon Fiber handle scales are perfect for a sure grip in any environment. They are secured to the tang via 416 stainless custom fasteners heat treated to 40 Rc and dark finished.

The brown leather sheath provided completes the package as an awesome horizontal carry system. A Guardian3 from Bradford will fill the need for a quality USA built everyday carry fixed blade and then some. 

About SuperClean Vanadis 4 Extra: A non-stainless tool steel much like a high speed steel, except it is optimized for cold work rather than hot cutting of metal. It is one of the toughest powdered steels available with its high vanadium content for evenly distributed carbides. Expect better edge retention than CPM 3V, much like M390, and tougher than M4.
