A perennial favorite at Dawson Knives, the Handyman is an EDC pocket fixed blade with a multipurpose design. The strength and security of a fixed blade pairs with an exposed tapered pommel that can be used as a flat head screwdriver, pry tool or glass breaker along with a wire breaking notch in the ricasso. Dawson utilizes American-made, CPM 3V tool steel for exceptional toughness and solid edge retention with a clear Cerakote coating for corrosion resistance. This version comes with orange and black layered G10 handle scales and an Arizona Copper finish blade.
Brand new, direct from Dawson Knives.
Blade:Â Differentially heat treated American CPM 3V gives the drop point blade optimal performance with a slicing high hollow grind. Jimping on the spine delivers excellent control during use and provides added safety along with the integral guard. Arizona Copper is a proprietary finish that gives each blade a unique, copper like finish while also being surprisingly non-reflective for discreet use.
Handle: Supported by the full tang, contoured matte G10 scales and red liners create a solid and comfortable handle. Deep milled grooves pair with the blasted finish and deep choil for a secure grip while retaining a refined feel in hand. Each knife is 100% hand made and includes a Certificate of Authenticity with spec sheet and serial number.
Sheath:Â Carries via a hybrid leather/Kydex sheath with metal pocket clip.
CPM-3V:Â A high carbon alloy steel that is extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. Care and maintain is required. High toughness translates to a stable edge that can be ground thin for enhanced performance. 3V has good edge retention, approaching VG-10 and CPM-154, with more than 3x the toughness.
