The Dawson Huntsman lives up to its name as a deliberate, full size hunting knife that makes a solid tactical fixed blade. Dawson uses American-made, CPM 3V powder metallurgy steel which offers exceptional toughness with edge holding up to three times longer than D2 and a clear Cerakote coating for corrosion resistance. This version comes with two-tone carbon fiber handle scales and an Arizona Copper finished blade.

Blade: Made from tough, American CPM 3V the stout drop point blade has a high hollow grind for excellent slicing and piercing and a generous belly for skinning tasks. Jimping on the thumb ramp provides solid control during heavy use pairing with the integral guard for added safety. Arizona Copper is a proprietary finish that gives each blade a unique, copper like finish while also being surprisingly non-reflective for discreet use.

Handle: Thick, rounded two-tone carbon fiber scales come attached over blue fiber liners to the full tang for a rock solid handle. Milled with deep grooves and a finger choil the handles offer a secure grip with plenty of style. Flat scale sides prevent rolling and keep the carry profile slim. Each knife is 100% hand made and includes a Certificate of Authenticity with spec sheet and serial number.

Sheath: Carries via a custom hybrid leather/Kydex sheath with multiple carry options.

CPM-3V: A high carbon alloy steel that is extremely tough and has enough chromium to have some corrosion resistance. Care and maintain is required. High toughness translates to a stable edge that can be ground thin for enhanced performance. 3V has good edge retention, approaching VG-10 and CPM-154, with more than 3x the toughness. Dawson’s differential heat treatment gives a harder edge for performance and a softer spine for added for toughness and flexibility.
