Falling between the larger Choppa and the smaller Turok, the Camp Turok is another utilitarian design collaboration with custom maker Jessie Jarosz and Ka-Bar knives. The Camp Turok has a size that allows it to fill multiple roles, making a great one tool option for any outdoor adventure. Built for use, the Camp Turok has a tried and true construction of coated 1095 Cro-Van with brown Ultramid scales.
Brand new, direct from Ka-Bar Knives.
Blade: Made from black coated 1095 Cro-Van carbon steel, the drop point blade has a high saber grind for toughness balanced with slicing and chopping performance. The relatively straight spine of the blade allows for batoning or use as a draw knife for added versatility.Â
Handle: Supported by the full tang construction, the contoured Ultramid scales, a nylon based polymer, are exceptionally durable, impact resistant and nearly impervious to moisture and chemicals. In typical fashion, Jarosz designed the handle to accommodate multiple grips and be comfortably ergonomic during extended use.
Sheath: Carries via a molded polymer sheath with nylon drop loop.
1095 Cro-Van: A simple, extensively used carbon steel with low edge retention and corrosion resistance. Easy to sharpen to a fine edge, 1095 can be differentially heat treated for better performance. Cro-Van indicates added alloying elements that improve wear resistance and toughness.
