The Kabar 5017 USMC fighting knife has over 100 years of tradition behind its functional design. This version has a classic stacked Leather handle material and Glass-Filled Nylon Sheath offering the same classic design with enhanced performance for the forest or the battlefield.

The Blade: Black coated 1095 Cro-Van high carbon tool steel has been saber ground for toughness. A straight spine terminates in a clip point delivering enhanced piercing capabilities while retaining a high level of toughness. The black coating provides needed corrosion resistance while the 1095 can be easily sharpened to a razor like edge.

The Handle: The tang of the blade is wrapped in a classic brown leather handle that is tested and trusted the world over. A full steel guard offers additional protection from slipping onto the blade while a hefty steel pommel makes the knife very well balanced and provides an improvised hammer tool in a pinch.

The Sheath: This knife comes with a rugged Glass-filled Nylon Sheath with MOLLE compatible nylon backing for multiple secure carry options.
