Brand new, direct from Kershaw.
Blade: The Skinner-profile blade is made of long-wearing D2 tool steel with a fully stonewashed finish and a hollow saber grind for excellent slicing performance. The clip point swedge offers a solid point for piercing and detail tasks. An Emerson Wave opener allows the knife to be opened fast on the draw or use the thumb disk for post-pocket deployment. Both features allow for ambidextrous operation.
Handle: The front of the handle offers a high traction brown G10 scale supported by a stainless liner while the reverse is a robust steel frame lock for smooth, reliable and secure operation. Strategic jimping, including on the thumb ramp pair with the index finger cutout and integral finger guard for a secure grip in adverse conditions. A fully open back construction makes for easy cleaning/maintenance and reduces the overall weight. A generous hole is provided for lanyard attachment.
Carries via a reversible (tip-up) stainless steel pocket clip.
D2 Tool Steel:Â D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all-around knife steel.
