This is the #2 or Smaller version of the original TOPS Knives Tom Brown Tracker with a new Coyote Tan finish. This little brother version of the Tracker is approximately 2.5 inches shorter than the original and less thick (3/16 opposed to 1/4 inch) for a lighter alternative. It’s a let’s hit the trail multi-tool for the avid outdoorsman. Brand new direct from TOPS Knives.
The Blade: Meant to be multi-purpose with its large bellied drop-styled front end and straight edge cutter nearest the handle. The front half is an excellent slicer, perfect for skinning and comes to a sharp point for penetration cuts. This size Tracker gives the user around 4.75 inches of hollow ground cutting edge to work with. The nearest part is great for overall utility/every day carry purposes and chores around camp. Light jimping nearest the handle provides the first, and grippiest, area to rest the thumb while just in front of the that is a perfect-sized thumb scoop cutout. This spot in smooth and purposeful to choke up on detailed tasks. The front half to the tip is used for a toothy sawback which will come in handy in a number of pulling or tearing scenarios. Nearly every inch of the Tracker blade was put to use to give the user as many options with their tool as possible.
The Handle: Very simple, yet very effective green canvas micarta handle scales are cut the same as white liners beneath them and bolted to the full tang design. This material is comfortable and maintains its grip rain or shine. The #2 fills the hand completely and comfortably for a nice, ergonomic grip on a medium to large sized cutting tool. A small brass lanyard tube is inserted near the end.
Included with this #2 Coyote Tan version is a coyote tan Kydex sheath with multi-position rotating spring steel mounted belt clips for carry. They can easily be re-positioned or rotated for vertical or horizontal carry.
